How can I get rid of rabbits in my yard?

February 24th, 2010
Eugene asked:

Each year we get more and more rabbits in the neighborhood eating all the beautiful flowers my neighbors and I plant. Unfortunately, this year, we have also found some dead baby rabbits that my dog must have killed. We have a fenced in backyard and just let our dog out. I have to let the dog out as I don’t have time to walk her, but it’s so sad about the babies. What can I do?

I have 2 female rabbits. One of them is really aggressive. Everytime the other rabbit gets near her she tries to bite. Is there a way that I can get her to be less agressive so that they can be let out at the same time with out fighting.

What do you think about hairspray and how they test on rabbits?

February 14th, 2010
Ekamai asked:

Does it make you mad that they test hairspray on rabbits eyes?
I dont really think hairspray is a necessity and its not like they are torturing rabbits to find a cure for aids or anything. It really bothered me when I found out this and that they still do this everyday legally and spray it in the rabbits eyes. Im not a tree hugger but it is still upsetting I think. I’ve never used hair spray in my life so I dont see why people would if they knew that. What do you think?

I am going to get a rabbit or two, but I want to know how big the cage should be for two rabbits. I want them to have enough room for when I am not home to play with them outside of their cage. So, how big? Also, does anyone have any reccomendations for a certain cage, or pictures……?

Thanks for your help!

Any hints on getting pet rabbits to like you?

February 3rd, 2010
Alex asked:

I have two pet rabbits, both males, which I’ve had since they were 6 weeks old. Fred and George (the rabbits) mostly get along, but every once in a while they have little fights, and they’re always trying to mate with each other.

I want to be able to pick them up and hold them but don’t know where to start. They usually try to bite me and so I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get them to trust me?? Thanks a lot.
